I'm Brook Xiao, a designer, researcher, and classically trained vocalist who likes building systems that are analytical without feeling cold.
I study Human-Computer Interaction, Statistics & Machine Learning, and Vocal Performance at Carnegie Mellon University. That mix lets me move between research design, quantitative reasoning, prototyping, and storytelling with the same attention to timing, interpretation, and detail.
Growing up in performance shaped how I work: I listen closely, iterate in public, and care about whether a system lands emotionally as well as functionally. I'm especially drawn to products where intelligence, interaction, and human expression need to work together.

Leading UX research and product design for creator-facing experiences within the Amazon Music ecosystem. Developing research frameworks to analyze platform-scale content systems, creator workflows, and audience engagement. Translating generative research insights into speculative and near-future system concepts informed by AI, metadata, and multimodal interaction models.
UX Designer
